I just picked-up an autographed copy of the “Woman Who Raised Buddha,” by Wendy Garling, what an amazing read. Mothers are too often forgotten about or blamed for everything that has gone wrong in a child’s life. As we approach Mother’s Day this is a beautiful tribute to mothers – and in Buddha’s case a mother who is not even his biological mother, but a woman, Mahaprajapati, his aunt, who stepped into his life when his mother died.
